Lips and Lipstick Advice |
 |
Fuller, Sexier Lips
Every woman wants full sexy lips. This can be
achieved with collagen implants. However for anyone looking for a
slightly less expensive option we have a few suggestions for getting the same beautiful lips:
- Apply lip balm to cover over any cracks or frays on your lips. This will give as a smooth effect.
- Draw around the very edge of your lips with a natural lip liner, then fill in with the same colour.
- Add lipgloss to give some shine. Re-apply as required.
- Finally, lightly apply some eye shadow or a white shiny product such as
eyebrow highlighter in the very center of your lips. Blend this in very carefully.
With a little luck you should have a natural looking shading.
Your lip colour will be lighter where your mouth opens, giving an
illusion of beautiful full lips.

Applying Lipstick and Lip Liner
Apply the lip liner first
The following rules should be followed when applying lip liner:
- Applying lip liner may not always be necessary, but if used should come first.
- Make sure the liner is the same colour or lighter than your lipstick.
If the lipstick fades before the liner, you'll be left with just an outline.
Try to use a neutral or lipstick-matched liner.
- Following the edge of your natural lip line, start at the center point of your upper lip and draw a line towards each outer corner.
- To give your lipstick extra holding power, apply the liner over all of your lips.
Apply Lipstick
- A bit of foundation under the lipstick will increase its staying power.
However it can also dry your lips, so it is best to use a creamy lipstick.
- Starting at the centre of either lip and glide the lipstick to corners of the lips.
For longer-lasting colour, blot, re-apply the lipstick and blot again.

Lipstick Colour
Choosing the perfect lipstick colour is more difficult than
you may first imagine. Consider these colours:
- red/pink: Makes lips appear warm, but also harder and deeper.
Be careful as it can bring out all the red tones in your skin.
- yellow/orange: Makes lips seem warm and soft. It looks really good on warm skin tones,
but on pale skin can bring out greeny/blue undertones of the skin.
- green/blue: This often looks dramatic! But not always in a good way.
- silver/grey: This will ceate a light and soft appearance, but make sure it is not too grey/dull.
- green: This works, sometimes. It's trendy and you'll look cool and hip, but your face may appear as if it needs more colour.
